I have heard and seen from other social media foodies online raving about how Wallington Deli in Wallington, New Jersey is awesome, so you know I had to try it out. Let me tell you, I was so taken aback by how incredible the food here was. It was something unreal and out-of-this-world!!
For food, I ordered the 'Chicken Cutlet and Mozzarella Sandwich,' which typically comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo. However, I removed the lettuce, tomato, and onion, and had that substituted for sun-dried tomatoes. If you get this sandwich, you need to do this as well because trust me, the flavors between all four were ridiculously good! The chicken was crispy and tender, the mozzarella was BEYOND fresh, and the sun-dried tomatoes were excellent, and marinated with olive oil and vinegar. The mayo added with that was the chef's kiss. Also, the bread used on these sandwiches is rustic ciabatta, which is super authentic, and adds a whole other level of flavor to the food. This sandwich was SO amazing, I was hooked!!
The next sandwich I got was their 'Drunken Chicken Parm Sandwich,' which is a chicken parm with vodka sauce. After taking the first bite and gnawing my teeth into this sandwich, my taste buds were in shock! Honestly, they were in shock! My tastebuds could not comprehend the flavors of everything I was eating. Yes, I have had a vodka chicken parm sub before, but this was different in all the best ways possible. The vodka sauce was next-level! The ingredients in this sauce were crazy good, and unlike anything I have eaten before. I might have to sneak into the shop and steal some sauce because that is how good it is and how much I need it, lol!
At Wallington Deli, you can order hot and cold sandwiches, salads, wraps, sides, and more. You can order for pickup and delivery through Uber Eats and Postmates. I do not care where you are, and if you have to drive, run, bike, swim, sprint, jog, walk, etc., you NEED to go to Wallington Deli and see for yourself how unbelievable the food there is because it is something not worth missing!!!
