Last weekend, I was at the Valley Rock Inn & Mountain Club to celebrate my grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary with my family, and I was taken aback by how breathtaking the grounds were and how delicious all the food and drinks were. The place itself feels like you are walking through a luxurious, upscale garden in Italy.

My family and I came for brunch, and there is definitely a lot to choose from. To start off, I obviously had to get a drink, and I got the 'Spicy Bee,' which had Catskill Honey whiskey, fresh lemon juice, housemade jalapeno simple syrup, and a maple chili rim. This had a great kick to it, and some heat from the syrup. But it was well balanced between sweetness and tanginess from the whiskey and lemon. It was super refreshing, and I would definitely get this drink again, and I would suggest this when coming!

For food, I ordered the 'Crispy Chicken Sandwich,' which had white cheddar pimento cheese, bourbon bacon jam, maple chipotle, and frizzled onions on a toasted brioche bun. The flavors from everything were phenomenal, from the cheese, jam, and maple chipotle. There was a lot going on, and everything exploded with deliciousness! I highly recommend this sandwich! Plus, the chicken cutlet itself was MASSIVE, and the biggest I have ever seen! This came with 'Shoestring Fries,' which were very tasty and thin, which was perfect, given that the sandwich was partially heavy.

Of course, at any new restaurant I go to, I have to order all courses, which includes dessert. I got the 'Lemon Tart,' which was a good light bite to end my meal. It was sweet, but not overpowering, and had a tartness to it, which was good.
At the Valley Rock Inn, you can go to dinner at The Cantina (which was where I was), the Lodge Steakhouse for dining and private events, and the Market & Cafe to grab some coffee, baked goods, and prepared food items. There is a lot to do here, as this is mainly an event place, from hosting weddings, corporate events, retreats, workshops, and classes. Plus, you can also spend the night, as they also have a hotel. For dining, you can place reservations and reserve tables for up to eight people, and for any parties including nine or more, it is considered an event. More information can be found on their website for all inquiries, whether that is dining or events. If you are looking for your next night out or a spot for future events, the Valley Rock Inn & Mountain Club is the perfect place to consider!
