Last week, I found The Colonial Grill on my Instagram from another food page, and I was completely mesmerized by how insanely delicious the food looked. Between the juicy cheesesteaks, burgers, and savory fries, I knew I had to check this place out and make a review of it. The Colonial Grill is a food truck in Morristown parked outside the Green, which is a park located in the center of downtown Morristown. It is in the perfect spot if you are on the go or are looking to enjoy some food in the park.
The truck is owned by a father and son, and when you first order, they give out a small fry sampler with their famous chimichurri sauce for you to taste test on how great their food is. Note, you absolutely MUST get the chimichurri sauce, at least on your fries, if not on everything, as they truly complement all their food incredibly well. The fries hit the spot and were good.
I got the 'Cheesesteak de Maduro,' which came with sliced ribeye, cheese, caramelized onions, and sweet plantains (yea that's right!) on a 12-inch roll. I was blown away by how flavorsome this cheesesteak was! Just from the first bite, there was just an explosion of flavor that was mouthwateringly delectable. From the juices of the meat to the richness of the onions, and the sweetness of the plantains, this was chef's kiss kind of meal!
Besides my order, you can order anything from their cheesesteaks, burgers, gyros, loaded fries, and more. They are open for business every day except for Mondays. To stay informed on all things regarding The Colonial Grill, you have to follow or keep up with all updates on their social media, whether it is Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok for their daily hours and whereabouts, as every day is different. Catering is also available for all customers. For more information, you can inquire about it on their website. If you have not been to The Colonial Grill, I feel sorry for you because you are truly missing out! This place is a gem and must go-to in the North Jersey area!
