Fat Taco (Tacos - Hoboken, New Jersey)

Who can say no to tacos?! Seriously, they are too good, and the ones from Fat Taco in Hoboken, New Jersey, are ridiculously good! This entire restaurant is awesome, as the food is great, the drinks are awesome, the service and staff are friendly, and the vibes are immaculate...sums up an amazing restaurant to me!

Haven't eaten a 'Birria Taco' that I didn't love

Now, Fat Taco is also known as the House of Birria, and given that they are known for both birria and tacos, you already know I had to try their 'Birria Tacos,' which were unbelievably incredible!! These were probably the biggest and thickest birria tacos I have ever eaten, as they were packed with birria!! I do not know why, but there is something about the combination of the birria, the taco shells, the cheese in between both, and the consomme that is just mesmerizing to my taste buds. I am getting hungry and craving some, as I am talking about them lol, but it is truly an addiction in the best way possible!

'Mexican Street Corn' is always a good choice

Besides the tacos, I also had the 'Mexican Street Corn,' which was roasted corn off the cob with cojita cheese, spicy panko, lime juice, cilantro, and cayenne pepper. There was a ton of flavor in this dish, and I really liked how there was a lot of corn, and it was not heavy. Especially since the tacos were heavier. These also came with some tortilla chips, which I thought was genius to eat/dip with the corn. The chips were very light, not salty, and not greasy, which was good.

These chips were an added bonus!

You cannot have tacos with a margarita (if you can get one), so I had to get the 'Spicy Skinny Margarita,' with 512 Tequila Blanco, Gran Gala, and lime juice. I also got mine with a salt rim. I wasn’t expecting this to be as big as it was, but I was not complaining, lol. Now I know it was a skinny one; however, I could taste the difference between a normal and skinny margarita. The skinny one tastes much cleaner and not as sugary, which I think is good, especially if you don’t want all these calories.

You had me at margaritas (skinny ones too)

However, walk-ins are also welcome. Hoboken is full of great vibes and fun times on every corner you turn, and that is exactly what sums up Fat Taco, too!
