A few weeks ago, my family and I went out to dinner at Stefano's Restaurant in Pompton Plains, and everyone was satisfied with the whole experience from the food, ambiance, and service. We went to Stefano's years ago as well, but it had been so long that I forgot how great this place was and how delicious the food was.
For my meal, I ordered the 'Chicken Sorrentina,' which came with chicken (of course), and topped with eggplant, prosciutto, and mozzarella in a light red sauce that was sort of creamy. This whole dish was good, and the sauce complimented everything well. The chicken was very succulent, and the eggplant and prosciutto were excellent touches to the dish. Plus, every Italian meal always needs cheese, and of course, the mozzarella was one of the stars that made the meal great. On top of that, my meal came with a side of pasta, and I got 'Penne' with mine, which in my opinion, is a classic.
Of course, I had to end the night with dessert, and I got this 'Limoncello Cake,' and it was magnificent! This cake was light, creamy, fluffy, and of course, very lemony. I wish I was able to have more than one piece because it was incredible, and I am hungry just thinking about it right now, lol.
At Stefano's, you can have any classic that we all love and know at Italian restaurants from hot and cold appetizers, soups, salads, pasta, chicken, veal, fish, desserts, and so much more. This place is BYOB, so make sure to bring the alcohol if you are looking to kick back, relax, and have a drink or two. Catering is offered here, and so is online takeout for pickup.
