Bua Thai Ramen & Robata Grill (Thai/Ramen - Manhattan (Upper East Side), New York)

Over the weekend, Bua Thai Ramen & Robata Grill on the Upper East Side invited me to come to their restaurant and try their delicious food and spectacular drinks. I love Thai food, to begin with, so I was really excited to check this place out. The vibes here are immaculate as everything here is top-notch, from the food, drinks, atmosphere, and even service. Plus, everything at Bua is full of life and beyond colorful and vibrant at every corner. I do not think I have ever had fast service at a sit-down place before like Bua, as you do not have to wait long for your meal.

To start my meal at Bua, I got myself the 'Chiangrai Lyncheetini' to kick things out, and it was so good! This drink had vodka, lychee soho, lychee juice, and cranberry juice. It was very refreshing as it was sweet, not too strong, but you could taste the alcohol lol, light, and had some nice touches to it as well. It was so tasty that I got a second one, lol. I will definitely be trying to make this at home!

For appetizers, I got the 'Chicken Curry Puffs' and the 'Crab Rangoons.' The 'Chicken Curry Puffs' were deep-fried pastry puffs stuffed with chicken, curry, and potatoes that came with a cucumber relish dipping sauce, and let me tell you, they were amazing! The puffs were super flavorful with every bite exploding right in your mouth. I am getting hungry for some puffs right now, and could eat them every day!

Anytime I see 'Crab Rangoons' on the menu anywhere, I have to get them, it is a non-negotiable for me, lol. The cream cheese, crab, and scallion filling melt in my mouth with the crispy outer wonton shell and the sweet chili dipping sauce. They are just chef's kiss.  I am truly obsessed with 'Crab Rangoons' and how tasty they are!

For my meal, I had the 'Bua Noodle Ramen,' a salt soup base with crispy wontons, beansprout, spinach, scallion, and cilantro. You can choose a protein, and I got mine with the 'Roasted Chicken Breast.' Plus, you also get to pick your noodles from either the traditional ramen noodles, gluten-free rice noodles, or Jasmine rice. Or you could even make this dish Vegan if you would like. I am pretty sure the ramen I ate was their traditional one, but it was satisfying and filling.  This was my first time eating ramen, as crazy as that is, and there was a lot! There was so much I did not even get to finish it, lol.

Besides the ramen, I also ordered the 'Organic Pork Belly Bun,' which was a bao bun with pork belly, organic spring mix, scallion, and cilantro with brown sauce.  The buns come in twos if you order these, but these were super delectable.  I love a good bao bun, and these did not disappoint! Soft and fluffy bun with a meaty and loaded filling...does not get any better than that!

Of course, I had to get dessert to end things, and I had the 'Taro Custard Brulee,' which tasted similar to a creme brulee. It had the same brunt cream or hard, sugary outer coating with the custard filling, which was the taro. For those who are not aware, taro is a root vegetable with a light, somewhat sweet, and nutty flavor that compliments anything sweet or with milk or even tea.  This was appetizing, light, and was the perfect way to end my meal at Bua.

At Bua, you can order all Thai specialties from the Robata Grill, soups, salads, appetizers, seafood, buns, noodles, fried rice, curry, ramen, noodle soup, sushi, dessert, and much more. Customers can order their food online for pickup or delivery if they do not want to eat at the establishment. Gift cards can be purchased and used with a minimum of one hundred dollars. You can book a reservation in advance for you and your party online on the website.  Plus, you can even sign up for Bua's eClub, which will send special offers on monumental occasions such as birthdays.  Overall, Bua Thai Ramen & Robata Grill has everything anyone looks for in finding the perfect restaurant...tasty food, awesome drinks, great vibes, quick service, and nothing but good times! Head up to the Upper East Side when you can and check this place out to see all the hype in person!
