I recently paid a visit to South Main Street Deli in Farmingdale when I was in the area and everything about this place from the food and service was great.
I ordered two sandwiches when I went, and the first one was 'The Yankee Panini.' It had turkey, pastrami, pepper jack cheese, roasted red peppers, tomato, and Russian coleslaw. This sandwich was delicious, and I loved the combination of the turkey and pastrami combined with the Russian coleslaw. It was a good mix of meaty, salty, and sweet. The roasted red peppers were a nice touch to the sandwich too.
The other sandwich I got was 'The Sicilian Sandwich,' which had breaded eggplant, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, lettuce, tomato, and balsamic vinegar. I love a good caprese-like sandwich, and this one hit the spot. Plus we all know I'm a sucker for breaded eggplant, so that was a nice touch! I also got some Potato salad which was delicious. It was sweet and creamy, and the potatoes tasted perfect, they weren't too soft or hard.
Overall, this place is great, the food is fresh, portion sizes are great, prices are reasonable, and the service and staff are friendly and helpful, what more could you ask for! South Main Street Deli is open every day, so make sure you stop by and pay them a visit if you're in the Farmingdale area.
