Salsa Fresca (Mexican - Newburgh, New York)

This weekend, I was invited to check out Salsa Fresca, a Mexican Grill with various locations all across Connecticut and New York. I visited their Newburgh location in New York.  You can also check them out in Bedford Hills, Brewster, Carmel, Cross River, Fishkill, LaGrange, Mamaroneck, Peekskill, Poughkeepsie, Thornwood, and Yorktown. Love how colorful the 'San Juan Bowl' looks

When I went, I got the 'San Juan Salad Bowl' and 'Mexicali Blue Burrito.' The 'San Juan Salad Bowl' comes either in a regular or taco shell bowl with grilled chicken, Mexican rice, beans, romaine, tomatoes, red onion, and shredded cheddar. The bowl was really good, colorful, and had a ton of flavor from all the ingredients. I was dipping this with the 'Aioli, which was a great combo, and added a smoky-like flavor to the bowl. The 'Mexicali Blue Burrito' had grilled chicken, Mexican rice, beans, shredded cheddar, cilantro, red onion, and salsa verde. This tasted similar to the bowl; the salsa verde added another dimension of flavor, and I dipped this in sour cream, which tasted good. Now these were both signature menu items, and both come with chips and salsa, which are a necessity at any Mexican food establishment.
