River Station Restaurant (American & Seafood - Poughkeepsie, New York)

A few days ago, my mom and I decided to take a trip up to Poughkeepsie to visit my brother who goes to school at Marist. We went to lunch at the River Station Restaurant, and the food was unbelievable, plus it has some pretty spectacular views of the Hudson River and Mid-Hudson Bridge too.

For an appetizer, we decided to get the 'Potstickers,' which were good. They were fried chicken and lemongrass dumplings showered in teriyaki sauce. The flavorings over everything were a combination of meaty and salty mixed with some sweetness in there as well and had everything you would want and more in a potsticker.

This burger is nothing but flavor city!

For my main meal, I got the 'Whiskey Jack's Burger,' which has pepper jack cheese, Jack Daniels BBQ sauce, bacon, onion straws, and a bacon jam topped with a special chipotle burger sauce! I can't even begin to explain how incredible and perfect this burger was, from the burger being succulent to the saltiness and crunchiness of the onion straws to the sweetness mixed with spice for all the sauces. Every bite was heavenly, and I devoured the entire thing.

At the River Station, you can order anything from their meat, chicken, pasta, and seafood entrees to burgers, salads, sandwiches, soups, desserts, and more. For all you non-Gluten eaters, this is a perfect place for you because gluten-free bread for all burgers and sandwiches is an option as well!

Besides coming to eat for a sit-down meal, you can also order online to get your food to-go too. Catering is also a big thing here as there is a menu for everything from brunch, lunch, dinner, weddings, cocktail events, picnics, you name it, the list doesn't end here. On top of that, the River Station also has a bunch of platters and entrees to order from for your events! If you're looking for a place with good food and good views, then the River Station Restaurant is a must-go-to for you!
