Nikko Hibachi Steak House & Lounge (Hibachi - Fairfield, New Jersey)

Everyone has the go-to hibachi place they usually go to, and mine is Nikko Hibachi in Fairfield, New Jersey. The food here is always good, and I am always satisfied leaving here after every meal. It is always a good time going out for hibachi as you always have a show with your dinner, so you get a two-for-one special with food and entertainment, lol.

The 'Blue Ocean' tastes heavenly

I started the night off with a 'Blue Ocean,' which has rum, pineapple juice, blue curacao and Sprite. This drink has my favorite beverage combination, sweet and strong. I loved the flavors of the sweetness from the pineapple, the strong kick from the rum, and the light carbonation from the Sprite. I do not know if it is me or not, but there is something about blue drinks that tastes extra refreshing.

A traditional hibachi meal

Now when I go to Nikko, I typically get the same meal every time, so I'll break it down for you. I get the Hibachi Steak dinner, which comes with a New York Strip, fried noodles, vegetables, and either white or fried rice (I usually do not eat the rice, but I still ordered fried anyways, lol). Plus, it comes with a soup and salad beforehand (I only eat the salad as I do not like soup), and the salad is a great starter with a delicious gingery carrot-liked dressing. The steak is always tender and cooked medium, just how I like it. However, I love the noodles and sauces that come with my food. I know one of the sauces is teriyaki, but I do not know the other one off the top of my head, but it tastes very sweet and creamy. Personally, I find it amazing, and I kind of secretly want to know the recipe because I would dip that into everything I would eat going forward, and sometimes just take tubful's with a spoon, lol.

Besides hibachi, you can order sushi, noodles, meat entrees, soup, salads, and more. Nikko offers some fantastic specials for lunch, if you ever want go during the day. They also have a party platter for guests that consists of mostly sushi and a couple other things such as noodles, edamame, and spring rolls. However, that is for takeout only! Speaking of takeout, that is also offered at Nikko as well as delivery. Next time you want to go out for some yummy food, good drinks and fun all around, make sure you try out Nikko Hibachi.
