A few weeks ago, I was down in Long Beach Island at the Jersey Shore for a family vacation, and for dinner, one night, my family and I decided to grab food from this place called Nardi's Tavern. We come to Long Beach Island every year and have not eaten at Nardi's before. I did a few reviews on some places down there last year if you are interested in looking or curious to find more restaurants to eat out.

For my dinner from Nardi's, I ordered their 'Nardi's Special' pie which comes with sausage, caramelized onions, and ricotta. It's kind of a white pie because it has no sauce, but I will say the pizza was absolutely delicious. The ratio of bread and crust to cheese and toppings was perfect! It was cheesy, meaty, and had a nice subtle tangy sweetness from the onions. Plus, the crust wasn't thick and a nice, light crunch. My preference for pizza crust is I like my crust to be an in-between, meaning not thick, crispy, and crunchy, but not thin and soft, and the crest at Nardi's exceeded my expectations. I don't know why, but there's something about tavern pizza that hits different and doesn't beat pizza you find from certain pizzerias (and it's mostly in the bread, lol).
Besides pizza, there's a ton, and I mean a ton of different types of food you can order at Nardi's from appetizers, salads, burgers, cheesesteaks, sandwiches, and so much more. There are also some great dinner specials they have, so keep your eyes peeled for those. Plus, they also do breakfast here and have happy hour with their own menus, and they have a lot of great alcoholic drinks and cocktails you can order. If you're down in Long Beach Island and need a good place to eat, I highly suggest giving Nardi's Tavern a shot!
