Mission Sandwich Social (Sandwiches - Brooklyn, New York)

When I went to Brooklyn to review Cuts & Slices, I also wanted to hit up Mission Sandwich Social, which is in Williamsburg. These sandwiches look to die for, and so I went with my friend who came with me to Cuts & Slices, as well as another friend who joined us, and the food once again exceeded my expectations.

Initially, I had my heart set on getting their 'Post Melon Sandwich,' which has prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, hot honey, provolone, mayo, vinegar, olive oil, dijon mustard, basil, tomato, arugula, and oregano. Unfortunately though, they were sold out which means to me, it has to be one of their best-sellers!

Whole lotta greatness packed in the 'Steve Byrne'

So I moved on to Plan B and got the other sandwich I wanted to try which was the 'Steve Byrne Sandwich.' This sandwich had Korean BBQ short rib, kimchi, fries, fresh mozzarella, ranch, sesame rice wine vinaigrette, scallion, lettuce, and gochugaru (Korean chili powder). Overall, the sandwich was incredible and huge to say the least! I had a hard time fitting a bite in my mouth and wrapping my hands around it at first! The picture does not do this any justice. However, in terms of taste, this was spectacular. I loved the combination of the beef and all the Korean flavorings to the cheese, and sauces, and the kimchi was a nice, crunchy touch to it as well. The sandwich was delicious and unlike any other sandwich I have eaten before.

There are so many other sandwiches that people can order when coming here, and this place is also vegetarian and vegan friendly as they have select sandwich menus for those options too! There is not much room to stay and eat, and most people typically will get their food to-go here. Mission Sandwich Social is a great joint to hit up if you are in the Williamsburg area and looking for some great sandwiches!
