Recently, my family and I went to Lithots Estiatorio in Livingston for my brother's birthday, and the food, service, and atmosphere of this place were off the charts! I have not been to this restaurant before. However, it is perfect if you are looking for a sit-down place that is new and different. Everything overall was fantastic!
To start the night off, I had the 'Fig Tree,' which is a cocktail with figenza vodka, pineapple juice, and mezcal. This drink was super delicious, sweet, and refreshing. I wish I had taken a video of how the cocktail was served to me because it came in a cocktail shaker with a chilled glass, and the presentation got me excited, lol. That is always a good sign that the drink will be good.
For appetizers, my family and I ordered the 'Calamari' and 'Lithos Chips.' The chips were fried zucchini and eggplant chips with a Greek yogurt dipping sauce. The chips were tasty, crispy, and oh so good. Plus, the Greek yogurt sauce was a bonus. The 'Calamari' was also really great, as it was crispy too, and came in a tartar sauce that hit the spot.
For my meal, I ate the 'Moussaka,' famously known as "Greek Lasagna." This came with layers of potato, zucchini, eggplant, tomato, artichoke, and ground beef with creamy bechamel. The 'Moussaka' was amazing, and very filling. There were so many layers, and it was a mouthful, to say the least, lol. Everything tasted so fresh and authentic, and every bite was spectacular!
