I found some of what are known to be amazing empanadas out on Long Island at Island Empanada. They have multiple locations all over the island however, I went to their Merrick location. When browsing through my Instagram feed, I came across Island Empanada, and the food looked so spectacular that I knew it needed to get a review from me.
Now, there are multiple different types of empanadas you can get, and each one is only $3.50. So I got one for some of the ones I wanted to try. I got the Traditional Beef, Buffalo Chicken, BBQ Chicken, Chicken Bacon Ranch, Asian Chicken, and Pastel on, which is ground beef with sofrito sauce, cheddar, and sweet plantains. The empanadas were all delicious, and each one tasted like how they would through the name. I would say my favorite one was the Pastel on because I didn't know what to expect from that empanada, but it was really good and I enjoyed it!
They're a bunch of empanadas to choose from here from beef, chicken, pork, seafood, and veggie including a bunch of specials Island Empanada offers to customers for lunch, dinner, boxes, packs, etc. Now, Island Empanada also has a bunch of catering packages to select and is a great option for catering for any event of yours. On top of that, they also have a food truck and will come to ANY event or occasion there is and have some good packages you could look more into on their website. Plus, they also have coupons you can use/find online for future orders. Island Empanadas have the best empanadas out on Long Island, and you need to give this place a try if you're in the area!
