...After eating my Tony Boloney's slices (check the last post to see if you haven't yet), I was in the mood for something sweet. Now I am a fan of sweets and dessert, but I'm not one of those people though who has a crazy sweet tooth and eats food like that constantly. However for some reason that day, I was really wanting some ice cream. When I was eating my pizza, I was sitting on a bench and in front of my eyes was Coney Waffle, Ice Cream & Sweet Shop, which is the next place I'll be taking you guys to.
Coney Waffle, Ice Cream & Sweet Shop is an ice cream parlor down in Long Branch, New Jersey along the shops in Pier Village. They also have a few other locations in the area in Asbury Park, Belmar and Red Bank. The name itself instantly attracted me and bizarrely also put me in the mood for waffles as well, which is interesting because it's rare that I actually eat waffles, lol. The ‘Waffle and Ice Cream’ is their most well-known menu item, which is a waffle with three scoops of ice cream, each of your own choice. I got mine with a scoop of the 'Vanilla Peanut Butter Swirl' and that of course in the name is vanilla ice cream with a peanut butter swirl. My second scoop was the 'Cinnabon Twirl', which is vanilla ice cream with a cinnamon swirl and cinnabon pieces. My third scoop was the 'M & M Explosion' which is vanilla ice cream covered in a caramel base, M & M’s and Oreos. If I’m being straight up, the combo of all three scoops went perfectly together between the caramel, peanut butter and cinnamon flavors. The waffle had a great balance of being soft and crunchy at the same time and complimented the ice cream really well, plus it was powdered too!
Besides the 'Waffle and Ice Cream', there are a number of options to choose from at Coney Waffle, Ice Cream & Sweet Shop from traditional ice cream cups, cones and toppings, milkshakes, ice cream sandwiches and floats and a multiple array of ice cream cakes to order. They also have a sampler platter you can try out of eight slices of any of the ice cream cakes of your choice. This place also accommodates for anyone who does not eat dairy, vegan or has any sort of dietary-related restrictions because they offer vegan ice cream too. Trust me when I tell you, waffles and ice cream is the combo you need to try yourself and Coney Waffle, Ice Cream & Sweet Shop has got you covered! This is definitely a great ice cream place to go to if you're down in the Jersey Shore area.
