Beignets is a donut shop in my area that I've known about for a while now. I've only heard amazing things about this joint and decided to go recently and my expectations were high going into eating the food.
I wanted to try a couple of their donut flavors, so I ordered the box of four donuts. Now, the donuts themselves are a little on the small side, but they make up for it though in taste. All the donuts, I would say, tasted almost like fresh baked cookies from the oven, warm and soft on the inside with a bit of a sweet crunch (not really, but you know what I mean) on the outside.
The first donut flavor I got was their 'S'more S'more,' which is smothered in a chocolate glaze with marshmallows, chocolate chips, and graham crackers. Overall, this was good, very chocolatey and was basically like eating s'mores on a donut.
The next donut I ordered was the 'Destinee's Peanut Butter Choco Dream.' This donut was covered in chocolate glaze and peanut butter chips and was honestly a great balance between the chocolate and peanut butter and tasted good. I'm not going to lie, the chocolate was extremely messy but well worth it though.
The other flavor I got was the 'Strawberry Shortcake,' which is coated in a strawberry glaze, powdered sugar, and graham crackers. I thought this flavor was a great, unique twist to add to a donut and was very complimentary. The strawberry glaze also tasted phenomenal.
Last but certainly not least, the final flavor I ordered was the 'Caramel Bacon,' which was my personal favorite of the bunch. This donut had caramel and bacon and I was obsessed with this flavor. The combination of the sweet and salty is something I love and went hand-in-hand together.
The options at Beignets are endless when it comes to ordering food there. There are a lot of other donut flavors as well, except the ones I ordered. Besides donuts, you can also choose from getting beignets, creating your donuts, coffee, and their daily specials. Plus, catering is available too with boxed donuts, donut cakes, coffee, assortments of baked goods, and so much more for all parties, weddings, events, etc. They also do party platters and wedding favors too.
Beignets are only open from Thursday through Sunday from the early morning to midday, so make sure you get your sweets while you can! They don't deliver, but you can order in-person where they have tables set up inside and outside or takeout. Beignets may have been the best doughnut shops before in the Morris/Sussex magazine, number one on 30 must place to eat in Morris County and featured on Good Day New York and Verizon Fios. Now, they have another thumbs up from me because this place is amazing and I'll be back again soon, go if you get a chance!
