Wood Stack Pizza + Kitchen (Pizza - Pine Brook, New Jersey)

If you have read my previous pizza posts, you know I love wood-fired pizza, as it is my favorite type of pizza. The crust and dough are crunchy and slightly burnt on the outside, yet soft on the inside, making them just mmm good. Wood Stack Pizza + Kitchen in Pine Brook is a spot I had not been to before; however, my mom and I decided to go for lunch recently, and we were both impressed overall.

When my mom and I went, we ordered a few menu items to sample from, and let me say, it was a great decision! We shared the 'Jersey Garden Pizza,' 'Strozzapreti,' and the 'Sweet Corn Salad.' The 'Jersey Garden Pizza' was delicious, as it was super fresh and tasty. The eggplant and cheeses were what made this pie for me. It had caramelized eggplant, fior di latte mozzarella, ricotta salata, garlic, basil, and tomato sauce.

The 'Strozzapreti' was insanely good! There was something about it that was light but filling all at once, and you know that is what truly makes a good dish. This pasta dish was elongated, cavatelli-style pasta with sausage, broccoli rabe, garlic, chili flakes, pecorino romano, and extra virgin oil. My mouth is watering as I write this, lol.

Simple and delicious

The 'Sweet Corn Salad' was just chef's kiss. I don't remember everything in this as it was a special, but it had sweet corn (obviously), bacon, feta, and tomato, and was good!  I don't know what dressing it had, but that complemented the salad well. If this salad is served when you go, I highly suggest ordering it!

In addition, you know I had to order a cocktail. I got the 'Raspberry Peach Spritz,' which I think was also a special as well. It had prosecco, raspberry, peach, honey, lemon, and that's all I remember, lol. But seriously refreshing and aesthetically beautiful to look at and take a picture of.

They also have outdoor seating, which is perfect during the nice weather! Besides their Pine Brook spot, they also have another location down in Central Jersey in Metuchen.
