If you know, you know that UNO Pizzeria & Grill is a low-key gem with delicious deep-dish pizza that gives you a taste of Chicago wherever you are. They have a location near me in Clifton, and I had to try it again to get some nostalgia, as my family and I ate at UNO's a lot when I was a kid. In the New Jersey and New York area, there are also locations in Hamilton, NJ, Manhattan (on Columbus Ave), and Astoria (Queens), New York. Plus, there are other spots outside the area in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maryland, Virginia, Florida, Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana.
When I went, I got the 'Chicago Classic Deep Dish Pizza,' and let me tell you, this slapped and was hitting all the spots for me! This could not have had a more perfect and balanced ratio of ingredients between the bread, cheese, sauce, and sausage. With every bite, I felt a fair balance of everything, which was awesome. The crust was thick and buttery, the sauce was very tomatoy, the cheese was extra stringy and great for cheese pulls (I did do one, lol), and the sausage was cooked just right. All in all, this was a chef's kiss for me, and makes me want to go to Chicago for more, lol.
