Torta Lokas is a Mexican restaurant with a bunch of locations throughout North Jersey in Newark, Elizabeth, Passaic, Montclair, and Fairfield. Their Fairfield location is relatively brand new, and that's the spot I tried out as it's the closest to me. The food here is nothing but authentic and delicious, and there's so much to choose from.
If you know me, you know that I love my birria tacos, and that's what I ordered. They were so good, and cooked to perfection. The meat and sauces were all so juicy, the cheese had a nice pull to it, and the outer shell had a good crunch to it. These tacos were another home run for me, the only thing I didn't like was that I wish there was more because I didn't want to stop eating them!
I also got a 'Pina Batido,' which is a milkshake with fresh fruit, milk, and sugar. The pina was the fruit I chose. Honestly, this did taste exactly like a typical milkshake, it had a different type of sweetness, very fruit-like from the fruit. I didn't expect to like the batido so much, but it definitely won't be my last time having one!
There is so much food here to select from such as tortas (Mexican sandwich), tacos, burritos, quesadillas, bowls, juices, homemade fruit water, coffee, and a whole lot more. You can either eat in-person or you can order your food online for pickup or delivery. Tortas Lokas also offers gift cards for customers that you can order, use, and purchase online. If you're looking for great, authentic Mexican food, Tortas Lokas is the place you need to hit up!
