If you don't know who "The Grubfather" is, I would definitely check him out on the socials (Instagram, Twitter, etc.) and his blog which also called "The Grubfather." But just to fill you in a little, he is a Long Island foodie who goes around the best eats around the Island. Plus, he also has a restaurant called "The Grub Shop" in Huntington which is an out-of-this-world sandwich. My friend wanted to try it out recently, so I went with him and the food didn't disappoint! The atmosphere inside is very artsy and just like the food, is out-of-this-world.
I got 'The Buff,' which is a chopped buffalo chicken sub with grilled onions, buffalo sauce, and cheese sauce. I also ordered the blue cheese with my sandwich as well. This sub was absolutely delicious, I have not ever had a chopped sandwich before let me tell you, it won't be my last! The flavoring of the meat, sauces, and cheeses just went perfectly together and was like a dream. When ordering sandwiches, customers have the option between choosing their sandwich sizes with 'Half Hero's' which come with fries and 'Full Hero's,' and they don't come with fries. I got the 'Full Hero,' and although I didn't have the fries, it was worth every bite!
Besides sandwiches, you can also order chicken tender combos, grub (hot) dogs, eggrolls, grub bowls (mac & cheese bowls), and so much more. Food ordered in-person or to-go for takeout or delivery. You can use GrubHub, Uber Eats, and Doordash for all your Grub Shop orders. Catering is also available so you are able to inquire on their website to learn more. In addition, you can also "Become a VIP" online to receive all things exclusive Grub Shop related from events, secret menus, offers, discounts, and more.
