The Committed Pig (Brunch - Summit, New Jersey)

As some of you may know, besides recommendations and places I am familiar with, most of the restaurants I review are restaurants I stumble across through either Instagram or TikTok, and that's how I found my next review, The Committed Pig. The Committed Pig is a brunch place I found that has a few locations in Morristown, Summit (the place I went to), and a new spot down the shore in Manasquan, New Jersey. What sold me on this place was one of their Instagram posts featured a 'Spinach & Artichoke Grilled Cheese.' I love food combinations meshed into one and think it makes the best of both worlds.
The 'Spinach & Artichoke Grilled Cheese' was what I ordered, and I think it's pretty self-explanatory. However, the cheeses inside were fontina, gruyere, and white cheddar. This was amazing, it was cheesy, gooey, and so good! If you're a spinach & artichoke lover, this is the perfect sandwich for you, especially since it's like eating the dip in sandwich form. Besides the sandwich, I also ordered the 'Pig Fries,' which are waffle fries with bacon, gravy, and mornay sauce (cheesy bechamel sauce). This was great and kind of an alternate version of disco fries in a sense, but with bacon. In my opinion, the mornay sauce was what made this dish. Side note, I was accidentally dipping it with my grilled cheese as I thought that's what it was for, and it's delicious with it! Also, I don't think this would have been as great if any other fries, besides waffle fries.
The Committed Pig has a bunch of menu options from eggs, pancakes, French toast, breakfast sandwiches, burgers, salads, snacks, dessert, and many other grilled cheeses'. Make sure you check their website and socials to be on the lookout for any updates on the restaurant's blog as well as any upcoming events they could have. They've also received a ton of positive recognition from a handful of magazines, websites, awards, and even from the Jets! Overall, The Committed Pig is an incredible restaurant with incredible food, and this is a place I plan on coming back to and suggesting you all give it a shot!
