Roadtrip (American - Bay Shore, New York)

The other day, I ventured out to Long Island to try Roadtrip in Bay Shore, and I found this place to be really cool! It is an American restaurant that pays homage to different cuisines from various states throughout the country. How awesome is that?!

To start my meal, I ordered the 'Road Soda,' which had vanilla vodka and passion fruit puree with a lime. This drink looked as aesthetically pleasing as it does, and was really light and refreshing. I thought I was drinking a cream soda, as it was super creamy and so good!

For an appetizer, I tried their 'Vermont Maple Peppered Bacon,' which was thick-cut applewood bacon with brown sugar, Vermont maple syrup, sea salt, and black pepper. The bacon had a ton of maple flavor and was smoky, sweet, savory, salty, and extremely delicious. The bacon was also very thick!

I also had the 'Texas Brisket Horseradish Stack,' a BBQ brisket sandwich with cheddar and panko-fried red onions with horseradish aioli on Texas toast. This sandwich was seriously amazing and had so much flavor going on between the BBQ sauce, brisket, crispy onions, aioli, and Texas toast. It was all to die for! The sandwich also came with fries that were very golden and crispy.

At Roadtrip, you can order anything from their appetizers, salads, soups, sandwiches, burgers, steaks, desserts, drinks, and more. Brunch is served here every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Make sure to keep up on Roadtrip's social media and/or website, as there is a special menu each week with specialty and signature dishes and drinks from a particular state. For instance, one week is a menu dedicated to Utah, then the next week is for Oregon, and the week after is for Virginia, etc. Be sure to also check their happy hour items every day, as well as upcoming events that are being held. Pickup, delivery, and catering are all offered here. Group reservations and parties are also held here, and you can book both in advance. If you are looking for a once-in-a-lifetime restaurant experience, Roadtrip is the perfect place for that!
