Mesita (Mexican - Amityville, New York)

For all you Long Islanders out there, you know that Mesita is a well-known Mexican restaurant with locations in Garden City, Rockville Centre, and a new spot in Amityville. I recently visited the Amityville restaurant, and this was my first time dining at Mesita. Let me tell you, my experience here was great!

I came here with a friend, and we both started with the 'Frozen Margarita,' which was made with blanco tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar. This was really sweet and hit the spot! It had all the flavors a true, classic margarita has that you crave. Plus, it was super frozen as well!

On top of that, my friend and I got the 'Made To Order Guac,' which was ginormous and filling. There is something about chips and guac that is simply irresistible, where you cannot get enough of it.

Ordering chips & guac at a Mexican restaurant is a must!

For my meal, I had the 'Chicken Tacos,' which come with grilled chicken, onion, peppers, cilantro, cheese, tomatillo, and avocado crema on tortillas. I could eat tacos all the time, no problem, and these were packed with filling and flavor. Plus, there was a good balance between the taco content and the tortilla, which was great.

At Mesita, you can order anything from their appetizers, soups, salads, fajitas, quesadillas, tacos, burritos, drinks, and more. They are open all day, for brunch, and for happy hour. As of now, pickup and delivery are available only at Garden City and Rockville Centre. However, catering and private parties are offered at all locations. Make sure to keep up with all upcoming events held at the restaurant. Also, e-gift cards are available for purchase and use. If you are out on Long Island and love Mexican food, you have to try Mesita!
