When I was in the city recently, I was trying to find a good deli/pastrami place around the Midtown/Times Square area. I came across Majestic Delicatessen in Midtown West in the Theater District and decided to give them a try. They are located on the corner of 50th Street and 7th Ave.
Of course you know, I got the ‘Reuben,’ which had pastrami or corned beef (I had mine with corned beef), Swiss, sauerkraut, and mustard on Rye bread. This sandwich was delicious. I loved the balance of the meat (even thought there was a lot) and saltiness of the meat, bread, cheese, and mustard (I don’t like sauerkraut and took it off, lol). It was very satisfying and makes me want have another Reuben right now, lol.
There are a bunch of different things you can at Majestic Delicatessen like sandwiches (a lot of them), wraps, paninis, soups, salads, pasta, quesadillas, bagels, all breakfast foods, desserts, coffee, and more. You can order your in-person to eat there as there is seating on the first floor and upstairs. Also, people can place orders for pickup or delivery (in advanced). If you’re looking for a good deli to eat from in the Theater District, then Majestic Delicatessen is the perfect place for you!
