Casa Don Manuel (Mexican - Wayne, New Jersey)

Earlier this week, I went to Casa Don Manuel in Wayne with my family for my birthday, and the experience was terrific. Everything here is vibrant, extravagant, delicious, and all around just great! The portions are huge, everything tastes great, and the service is excellent.

The ultimate penultimate of drinks!!

To start my dinner, I ordered the 'Margarita de Cerveza.' I don't remember if this was the exact name, but it is the beer margarita. This drink is a classic margarita with Patron tequila, a salt rim, and it features a beer that is dunked upside down in the margarita glass. The beer in mine was a Modelo, but boy was this thing HUGE!!! It was ginormous, and felt like drinking this was never-ending and wouldn't stop, lol. I didn't finish this, but it was delicious and worth trying if you love margaritas and are looking to get a good buzz, lol.

Ordering guac at a Mexican place is a must!

For an appetizer, we got the 'Guacamole.' In my book, you cannot go wrong with some chips and guac. The chips were salty and addictive, while the guacamole was creamy and savory. There were a lot of onions, cilantro, and tomatoes in here, and they balanced out the guacamole.

Moving on to dinner, I had the 'Enchiladas Verde,' which came with chicken or beef, cheese, and the salsa verde (green sauce) with rice and refried beans on the side. I got my enchiladas with the beef, but this was glorious! I love enchiladas, and these were super tasty as they were savory, meaty, cheesy, delectable, and so on!

By the time dessert came around, I was stuffed, but my mom told the restaurant it was my birthday and ordered me their 'Tres Leches Cake,' as the entire place sang and brought it out to me. This sponge cake itself was very creamy, layered with milk, and topped with whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles. The cake was sweet and the perfect way to end the dinner.
