In case you didn't know, National Margarita Day was on February 22nd, which was this past Sunday, and over the weekend, I got to celebrate at Casa De Catrina in Carle Place, out on Long Island. Walking into the restaurant, I was amazed by the ambiance of this place, from the upbeat music, bright colors and decor, and the friendly staff and service.

Starting off, I of course had to try their 'Margarita Flight,' which comes with five flavors: tamarind, passionfruit, mango, cucumber, and hibiscus. All the flavors were fantastic; however, the tamarind one was probably my favorite, and I was told that it was a favorite here.

Now, you can get the flight and all the cocktails here, virgin, without any alcohol. I did have the virgin flight; however, I could not taste the difference!

On top of that, I tried the 'Spicy Mezcalita,' the 'Tamarind Margarita,' the 'Raspberry Lemon Martini,' and the 'Strawberry Mojito.' The mojito was the only drink I had with alcohol in it. However, the taste was on point with all of these! Sweet, refreshing, and simply good.

The 'Tamarind Margarita' once again won me over! Plus, the presentations on all these drinks, including the flight was just phenomenal!!!

Now moving over to food, I started with the 'Nachos Catrina' and 'Catrina Chicken Quesadillas.' The nachos were my favorite thing I ate as they were amazing!! Definitely recommend ordering these when coming to Casa De Catrina! These were piled with refried beans, ground beef, melted cheese, jalapenos, sour cream, pico de gallo, and guacamole. My mouth was drooling, and I could not get enough of these, as they were addictive!

The quesadillas had chicken, melted Jack, jalapenos, sour cream, and guacamole. These were pretty tasty, and I was obsessed with the presentation!

For the main meal, I tried their 'Beef Birria Tacos,' 'Pollo Poblano,' and 'Shrimp Enchiladas Verdes Y Rojas.' Out of all three, the tacos were my favorite, as they were juicy and flavorful with the beef and cheese. But at this point, you know how much I love birria tacos.

The 'Pollo Poblano' was half of a dark rotisserie chicken served over mole poblano sauce and cilantro rice on the side. The rice was excellent, and the sauce was to die for! It was pretty sweet, but a little tangy.

The enchiladas were really good, as I loved the green chile sauce. Now, if you love shrimp and seafood, this dish is perfect for you! This did taste good; however, I was not crazy about this combination.

At Casa De Catrina, you can order anything from their main dishes, tacos, soups, salads, appetizers, drinks, desserts, and more. Brunch is served here every Saturday and Sunday until 3 pm. Besides weekend brunch, be sure to check out Taco Tuesday, Happy Hour (Monday through Friday from noon to 6 pm), and Ladies Night every Thursday until 9:30 pm.
