Recently, I was at Brixx & Barley out in Long Beach for a friends' birthday, and everything from the food, drinks, vibes, and service was all great. Plus, I thought it would be a good opportunity to give a little review for you guys too.
For my meal, I ordered the 'Southern Fried Chicken & Waffles,' which is fried chicken on a waffle with maple syrup. It was delicious and had a perfect balance of sweet, salty, crispy, fluffy, meaty, etc. For drinks, I got a 'Screwdriver,' which for those who don't know it is orange juice and vodka. It is a "stronger" version of a mimosa, in my opinion, but it was sweet and very strong, lol.
Now Brixx & Barley has a few menus for customers from brunch, dinner, and a vegan one (yes this place is vegan friendly), so make sure you take a look before coming. They have a few great weekly specials as well, so make sure you go in on a night there's a special! Also, Brixx & Barley caters too for any events and parties in the restaurant or offsite and have a bunch of great options to choose from. Brixx & Barley is a place everyone will love, even the press loves them too as they've gotten quite some recognition, so make stop by for brunch or dinner one of these days.
