Finding an amazing sandwich shop may not be easy sometimes as everyone has their own expectations and desires, especially in the Northeast, but Bob-O's Cheesesteaks has something everyone will like and this is the next place I'll be taking you all to. Bob-O’s Cheesesteaks is a new cheesesteak/sandwich shop that opened up only within this past year in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey and has become a personal favorite of mine. I found Bob-O's on TikTok through a few other food accounts a couple months back and this establishment has already become an instant hit online and to the public. Since this joint has already gotten so much recognition in such a short span of time, I had to go and give my two cents and see what the hype was about.
Bob-O’s has a number of different cheesesteaks to try, including the original ‘Bob O Cheesesteak’ which has ribeye steak, grilled onions, green peppers and American cheese. ‘The Ron Man’ is another cheesesteak on the menu that includes steak, American cheese, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks and honey mustard. My personal favorite though is ‘The Scarlet’ and it is a cheesesteak with ribeye steak, mozzarella cheese, marinara sauce, roasted sweet peppers and grilled onions. It's an awesome combo of meaty, cheesy, saucy and sweet all in one bite!
Now although this may sound weird, you don't have to eat meat in order to find something you'd like at Bob-O's because they also have a 'Veggie Cheesesteak' too with eggplant, sweet roasted peppers, grilled onions, mushrooms and provolone cheese. Besides cheesesteaks, you can also order their classic 'Chicken Parm' and 'Buffalo Chicken' subs as well. On top of that, you also have the option to build your own cheesesteak with whatever you want on it too. Plus, I've heard through hearsay that Bob-O's also has a secret menu too where a few of the items you can order are a 'Breakfast Cheesesteak' as well as a ‘Big Mac Cheesesteak’ that has secret Big Mac sauce too. Although some of these subs don't sound like traditional cheesesteaks, you will definitely regret not trying any of these out yourself.
Bob-O’s also has a variety of sides to choose from besides the subs such as their onion rings which is what I got and they were maybe the best onion rings I've ever had. I've never had a more amazing combo of golden, crispy and crunchy when eating onion rings and they were cooked to perfection. For other sides, they also have cheese fries with melted cheese sauce that layer the fries as well as regular fries and mozzarella sticks that will go perfect with whatever sandwich you order. I've had their mozzarella sticks in the past and they were very golden, crispy and especially cheesy. If you’re going to go all out and want the whole Bob-O’s experience, you have to get a milkshake with flavors ranging from either chocolate, vanilla or strawberry.
They have some tables and chairs set up for indoor and outdoor eating if you want to stay and eat and take in the atmosphere or you can get your food to go as well. Overall, if you’re in the North Jersey area, you have to hit Bob-O's up, you won’t regret it!
