Barn Joo (Korean - Manhattan, New York (Union Square))

Recently, I met up with one of my friends at Barn Joo in Union Square in the city, and everything about this place is just awesome. From the food, drinks, atmosphere, everything about this place is incredible and leaves you wanting to go back for more.

My friend and I ordered a bunch of stuff that was all insanely delicious. We got the 'Fried Tiger Roll' (tuna, salmon, kani, avocado, pickled radish, micro greens), 'Steamed Bulgogi Buns' (bulgogi (meat), scallion coleslaw, pickled radish, cucumber, tartar sauce), 'Truffle Fries' with truffle sauce, 'Fried Garlic Dumplings,' and the 'Hot & Spicy Wings.'

Everything was delicious, and we both kept wanting more of everything, lol. The only new thing I tried was the Steamed Buns, and they were delectable. The buns were very soft and fluffy, and the meat went perfectly well with them. It almost tasted like a fancy Big Mac a little bit, lol.

Now being at a bar, drinks were obviously involved. First, I started out light and got a 'Sixpoint Pilsner,' which was really good. Then, I ordered the 'Bengal Storm,' which has darjeeling rum, ginger beer, cinnamon, and lime. This was unbelievably good and has become one of my new favorite cocktails. You could definitely taste the cinnamon and ginger too.

Now, my friend and I only got appetizers, but Barn Joo also has a ton of rice and noodle bowls, sandwiches, burritos, main dishes, specials, and drinks. Plus, this place also has Korean BBQ, and the choices are endless.

Besides their Union Square location, Barn Joo also has another location in Midtown. Overall, I love Barn Joo and everything about it and everyone should come to one of their spots in the city if you get a chance.
