Artichoke Basille Pizza (Pizza - New York, New York)

I've been wanting to get my hands of a slice from Artichoke Basille for the longest time now. So the other day, I decided to head into the city and try one out for myself (well two actually). They have plenty of locations throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, JFK, LaGuardia as well as New Jersey, California, and Arizona.

When I went, I obviously had to get an 'Artichoke' slice. This slice has spinach, artichoke, cream sauce, mozzarella, and pecorino romano cheese. It had a nice salty and savory kick to it and was very creamy and was almost like eating a classy spinach and artichoke dip on pizza. I also got a 'Pepperoni' slice, which you all know what's in that, lol. I felt like the balance between the pepperoni, cheese, and sauce was perfect. The ratio of everything was on-point which is not always easy to do with food sometimes. The slices themselves were huge and true classic New York slices, light and crunchy.

The Artichoke & Pepperoni Slices

Besides these slices, you can also get Crab, Margherita, Vodka, Staten Island (meatballs, red onions, and ricotta), Sicilian, and Meatball. On top of that, you can also make an Artichoke Basille pizza at home! Yes that's right because the owners, Francis Garcia and Sal Basille wrote a cookbook called, "Staten Italy: Nothin’ but the Best Italian-American Classics from Our Block to Yours," that you can order. Plus, they also ship directly right to your front door! Needless to say, you can eat an Artichoke Basille slice wherever you are in the United States. Between all the press recognition and my review on this place, you have to go to a location and give this pizza a try!
