Pasta is one of my many love languages, especially when you get to build it your own way. Pasta Volo in Asbury Park is the perfect place to do that, and it will satisfy all your pasta wants, needs, and demands. Plus, the pasta and ingredients here are homemade.
Coming here, I got the 'Mafalde' pasta, similar to lasagna noodles. With pasta orders, you also get to choose your sauce and toppings. I ordered my pasta with alfredo sauce, VOLOgnase (beef & pork), pecorino romano, and peas. This pasta was so good. It was creamy, meaty, savory, a bit salty, and very filling! The containers the pasta is put in are huge, and the portions are a handful and a mouthful!
Besides the pasta, I also had the 'Lulha Bread,' which is a miniature version of garlic bread, and it was delicious. The bread had a lot of garlic and flavor to it. Plus, it came with a marinara dipping sauce, which was very complimentary of the bread.
On top of that, I had to get a sweet treat, and I tried their 'Cheesecake Cone,' which was insanely good and honestly, my favorite thing I ate from Pasta Volo. It was sweet, velvety, creamy, and had lots of delicious cheesecake flavor including the incredible flavor from what embodied the cone. This was beyond addicting, and I could have eaten a dozen more if I could!
At Pasta Volo, you can order anything from pasta, salad, bread, dessert, beverages, and more. Anyone vegan and gluten-free is in luck because this restaurant also has vegan and gluten-free options for customers. Pickup and delivery are both offered here. If you love pasta and love a make-your-own food place, then you need to check out Pasta Volo next time you are in the Asbury Park area!
