Paheli (Indian - Wayne, New Jersey)

I decided to venture out of my food realm and try a new spot I have not eaten from before, and I came across Paheli in Wayne, New Jersey. This restaurant specializes in Indian food, and let me tell you, this place was UNBELIEVABLE!!! I am not joking; this might have been one of the best places I have ever eaten at! There is so much flavor in the food that you don't know what to do with it. I describe it as a good surprise that catches you off guard, lol.

The sauce in this is heavenly

When I ordered here, I got a few things to sample. The first thing I had was the 'Chef's Special Masala Roast,' which was a Mughalai meat dish cooked in a thick gravy sauce, and came with masala rice on the side. The sauce was incredible! A little spicy, and a mild kick, but it was tolerable (at least for me). It was super tasty, and almost creamy as well. To me, this tasted like an Indian version of vodka sauce. There was something super irresistible and addictive about it. The rice was also spectacular, as it was loaded with flavor and simply delicious.

The next thing I got was, of course, the 'Samosa.' You cannot go to an Indian restaurant without ordering a 'Samosa.' This one did not disappoint and hit the spot!

The last thing I ordered was the 'Goat Cheese Naan,' which was probably my favorite thing I ate! Goat cheese and naan, by the way, is an excellent combo! The flavor was outstanding between the bread and the goat cheese, which melted right in my mouth. If you come to Paheli or order from there, I highly recommend ordering this!!
